We are proud at KM to offer a three year New Staff Academy, that personalizes the needs of new staff joining our excellent district. As a new staff member, a Portfolio should be started in your year 1 or 2 as a compilation of all of your great learning opportunities and examples of excellence. Please see the Portfolio Guidelines for more information:

Year 1: We will explore classroom management, balancing life and work, and all the other questions that come along the way!

 

Year 2: We will focus on a more individualized plan that you wish to learn and study more about. This may be a collaboration of a couple new staff & we are inviting your peer mentors to learn along side with you. Book studies or joining a cohort online or that meets regularly are options.

 

Year 3: The focus is all about growing as a professional. In this year you will choose a professional conference to attend & return ready to share out at a PLC meeting or staff meting or offer a staff development course on the great professional development you learned about!
